SEABS is committed to providing education that will help future ministers of God to acquire a balance that is between Christian lives, academic, ministry, and daily life. Because of that we hold to the following educational philosophy:

1. The basis of theological education is a deep and complete knowledge of the Bible. On this basis of the Bible are built theological concepts and integrations with other general knowledge.
   
   
2. This theological education is oriented toward preparing ministers of God who will serve fulltime. On this basis students are also expected to be fulltime students and take part in every educational activity as planned.
   
   
3. This theological education is also geared toward creating an educational condition that will stimulate and generate the soul for evangelism in each future minister.
   
   
4. To become an all-around minister of God, each student is not only required to exhibit satisfactory academic work, but also demonstrate a holy life, and a model to many people.
   
   
5. Aside from an abundant spiritual life, this theological education is also based on the vision and burden of every student, so he will actively take part in the ministry and mission of the church.
   
   
6. This theological education is also carried through discipleship where teachers and staff function as discipler of students and seniors as disciplers of the juniors. From the classrooms to dorm life, teachers, staff, and all students are expected to be an example and imitate each other in accordance with the philosophy of guidance through discipleship patterns in life and ministry.
